Match Report
TCC comfortably defeated GHCC by 8 wickets at Shiloh on Sunday. Niranjan and Ivan from DCC umpired the match and we would like to thank them for the same.

On a day that started off with thunderstorms, it seemed like the start-stop pattern would continue, however, it finally stopped raining. GHCC called it right and decided to bat first. The openers hung around a little to delay the inevitable. Shantan and Aravind managed to keep a tight leash on the proceedings. Eventually, wickets started to tumble at regular intervals with no batter determined to stay in the middle. Sundar and Amar cashed in on the wickets. Waqas managed some good hits and top-scored with 32.

We were eager to wrap up the win given the rain in the forecast for late afternoon. Anand and Ravi added 39 runs in the first 5 overs. Anand holed out for 16 unable to get the elevation. Ravi and Aravind kept the run-rate at 8-9 an over without breaking a sweat. Rajesh was eager to have a swing and Aravind responded by miscuing a flick to deep square-leg to be dismissed for 26. The skipper went hammer and tongs and finished up with 32 by hitting a huge six to secure us an emphatic win in the 15th over. Ravi remained unbeaten on 37.

Go TCC!!
