TCC bulldoze MOCC
TCC made little work of their rescheduled match against MOCC and trounced them by 8 wickets. TCC appreciates Fergus Robertson for agreeing to umpire this match at such a short notice.
Hurricane Hannah had dumped quite a bit of rain during the week. We had to postpone the match to Sunday as a result. A couple of hours were spent at the ground the previous day draining the water off the pitch in order to have a regular start time. Rao won the toss for MOCC and elected to bat first. Their openers were all at sea against TCC’s opening attack of Aravind and Vijay. Wickets started to fall at regular intervals and MOCC were bundled out for 55. Anil and Maddy were the only ones to reach double figures. Vijay and Shantan topped the wickets tally.
Muki and Aravind opened for TCC, they seemed to be in a hurry to go home. Aravind was dismissed early holing out to Neel off of Rao, but Muki leveraged the biryani he had eaten earlier in the day to the hilt. Search missions kept finding the balls with amazing regularity. We wrapped up the chase in under 11 overs losing one more wicket.
Go TCC!!
Umpiring was fair and consistent through out the match.
